Bellaire, OH — September 4, 2025 — Bellaire High School is proud to announce the 2025 class of inductees to the Bellaire High School Athletic Wall of Fame, honoring outstanding athletes and contributors who have made a lasting impact on the Big Reds athletic tradition. This year’s class features six exceptional individuals whose accomplishments on and off the field continue to inspire future generations of Bellaire athletes.
2025 Inductees
Aaron Agnew – Class of 2004
Standing tall in Bellaire basketball history, Aaron Agnew was a four-year letterman who earned All-OVAC, All-State, and All-American recognition. A McDonald’s All-American nominee, he competed in prestigious national camps and was widely regarded as one of the country’s top centers during his time. He holds overall basketball records for field goals made and blocked shots. He ended his career with 1,720 points. Agnew also lettered in track, placing at the OVAC and state level. His basketball career continued at Iowa State University, where he played as a freshman. He is the proud parent of Avelyn Agnew.
Spencer Badia – Class of 2014
A record-setting quarterback for the Big Reds, Spencer Badia rewrote the record books, setting marks in passing yards, touchdowns, completions, and career totals that still stand as BHS and OVAC records. He was a multi-time All-State, All-Conference, and championship-winning leader in football. On the baseball diamond, Badia was a four-year letterman, earning All-Conference and All-State honors while helping secure OVAC and District titles. At Baldwin Wallace University, he continued his baseball career as a four-year letterman, two-time captain, and Academic All-American of the Year. Badia graduated as valedictorian and left his mark both academically and athletically. He and his wife Megan have two daughters, Mila and Cara.
Mike Busack – Class of 1967
Unlike his fellow inductees, Busack is being recognized for decades of service and dedication to Bellaire athletics. Since 1986, he has volunteered as a trainer, supporter, and steady presence on the sidelines for countless athletes and teams. Known affectionately for always being ready with “ice and tape,” Busack has spent nearly 40 years assisting athletes in every sport with care, humor, and unwavering loyalty. His contributions embody the spirit of the Big Reds, and his induction celebrates the vital role of behind-the-scenes commitment that sustains athletic programs. Mike and his wife Kathy have been longtime pillars of the Bellaire community.
Mikel Fisher – Class of 2005
A standout in three sports, Fisher’s impact at Bellaire was felt on the basketball court, football field, and baseball diamond. In basketball, he was a four-year letterman, team captain, and multi-time All-District and All-State honoree. He ended his career with 1,420 points. On the football field, Fisher earned First Team All-District and All-State honors while serving as team captain. In baseball, he was a four-year letterman and multi-time All-Conference selection. His leadership and versatility made him one of the most well-rounded athletes of his era.
Jayson Keyser – Class of 2007
Jayson Keyser distinguished himself as a multi-sport athlete at Bellaire, excelling in football, basketball, and track. On the gridiron, he was a team captain, multi-year All-Conference and All-State honoree, and part of two OVAC and Regional Championship teams. He holds season and career interception yardage and interception touchdown records. In basketball, he contributed as captain and member of the 23-1 OVAC Championship team. His track career was exceptional and decorated, earning 13 Regional medals, 8 State medals, and setting a school record in the 300-meter hurdles. Keyser went on to play football at West Liberty, where he was a four-year letterman, team captain, and All-Conference selection. Jayson and his wife Danielle reside with their children Olivia, Jackson, Carson and Elliana.
Honorary Member – Francis Wallace
Born in 1894 to Irish immigrants, Francis Wallace graduated from St. John Central High School in Bellaire before attending the University of Notre Dame, where he worked closely with legendary coach Knute Rockne. Wallace went on to become a nationally acclaimed sportswriter, novelist, Hollywood screenwriter, and lecturer, publishing 17 books and producing iconic works for film and television. He created the famous Pigskin Preview (1937–1956), widely known as the nation’s “Football Bible,” and became a familiar voice as a commentator for CBS football broadcasts.
Most importantly for Bellaire, in 1929 Wallace coined the title “The All-American Town” in a New York newspaper article celebrating the remarkable number of athletes the community had produced for major colleges across the country. The name stuck and has defined Bellaire’s identity for generations. Wallace’s career achievements and his proud representation of his hometown embody the spirit of the Wall of Fame. Though not a Bellaire High School graduate, his legacy and his words forever link him to the tradition of the Big Reds.

Ceremony Details
The Wall of Fame induction ceremony will be held Saturday, October 4th during the Bellaire vs. St. Clairsville football noon kickoff game. A reception dinner will follow at Sons of Italy in Bellaire. All community members, alumni, and fans are invited to attend as Bellaire honors the newest members of its storied athletic tradition. Tickets are $20.
